We sat down with Dan Kent, Head of Solutions Engineering, and Solutions Engineer Annie Casey, to hear how they approach their work and what makes the role so rewarding.
Working hand-in-hand with our partners
"We work closely with our customers to configure the product to exactly how they need," says Dan. "We're able to get firsthand feedback on the platform, and we have a unique position where we can have an active impact on people's satisfaction with Artificial."
That closeness is essential to our approach; rather than handing over a product and stepping back, the Solutions Engineering team embeds itself within a client's workflow, iterating quickly and solving problems in real time. As Dan puts it, "we're essentially working with them within their team."
For Annie, that direct impact is one of the most motivating parts of the job. "We work together to build the best outcome for our customers, which inherently improves our product and drives success."
Helping clients grow faster
One of the most valuable things the team offers is momentum. Clients often start with a single product, and once they see how well the process works, they naturally want to do more.
"High level, we can help our clients to grow and go faster," Annie explains. "What we actually see is people start to really engage with how our process works of developing more products. So they can grow their own business with Artificial, and we can be the drivers of that because we work so closely with them."
The team also acts as a bridge between complex technology and real-world business challenges. "Part of our job, and what is really impactful, is being able to translate that power of technology to our customers to help solve problems that they might not have a direct solution for," says Dan.
A team built on diverse experience
What makes the Solutions Engineering team particularly strong is the range of backgrounds and expertise everyone brings to the table.
"Everyone on our team is from different walks of life, different careers," says Annie. "Everyone has different expertise, different experience, and when we all come together I feel like we can really accomplish anything. It's fun."
That collaborative spirit extends across the whole company. Dan describes Artificial's culture as open and warm, with space for everyone to contribute. "It's amazing to be able to create such a tight-knit team. We're not a massive company, but we're growing, and I have every faith that the company culture will stay exactly the same."
An exciting time to be part of Artificial
The Solutions Engineering function itself is scaling, and both Dan and Annie see that as something to be genuinely excited about.
"We started really small and now we're growing," says Annie. "We don't lose any culture because of that. It's really fun to know that we're scaling for all good reasons. It's a really exciting time to be a part of the company."
